Today's Tip: University Owned Parking Lots
At every entrance to a university parking lot is a green rectangular sign designating who is eligible to park in that lot and the hour in which it is regulated.
For example, Lot 30:
This lot is only available for Faculty/Staff permit holders between the hours of 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Parking outside of the posted hours is available to anyone.
Once inside the lot, a permit holder is allowed to park in any open, unreserved space.
For example, if your current faculty/staff permit is number FS123456, you would not be able to park in the following space inside Lot 30. This space is reserved for permit FS122378 during the hours of 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday.
Similarly, the following posted parking space inside Lot 30 is reserved for permit E228706. However, this reservation is somewhat different as it is Reserved at All Times. This means that while Lot 30 is regulated 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday, this particular space is reserved 24/7 for the indicated permit holder.
All persons including faculty, staff, visitors, and commercial and construction representatives, who park in University-owned parking lots, other than metered spaces, during the hours of 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday (unless otherwise posted), must obtain and display a permanent or temporary parking permit. Vehicles that park in these lots without permits may be cited.
