University of Oregon

ADA Parking

The Department of Parking and Transportation strives to make the University of Oregon campus accessible to all, regardless of mobility impairing limitations. We are also committed to providing clear and accurate information for the faculty, staff, students, and visitors who travel to campus.

All persons who park in University-owned parking lots, other than in metered spaces, during the period of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday through Friday) must obtain and display a University of Oregon parking permit or pay to park. A DMV issued Disabled Person Parking placards may not be used in lieu of a University issued parking permit or in place of payment at Pay-To-Park lots. DMV issued Disabled Person Parking placards are, however, honored at parking meters on campus for the duration of the meter.

Faculty/Staff/Student ADA Parking

All faculty, staff and students who have a DMV Disabled Person Parking placard and who purchase a University of Oregon parking permit may park in any ADA space on campus.

If further accessibility options are needed, the Accessible Education Center or the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity are available to review individual situations and determine if a different parking accommodation is appropriate.

Additionally, faculty, staff, and students who do not have a DMV Disabled Person Parking placard, but are in need of mobility accommodations, may contact the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity or Accessible Education Center for permission to use ADA spaces on campus or receive a different parking accommodation with purchase of a permit.

Please see the Office of Affirmative Action web site for more information.
