Use Umo to Ride the Bus!

2023-2024 Benefit Codes Are Here New students and employees can follow the instructions below. Those with an existing pass can redeem the new benefit code at any time.

Students and Employees have access to a free bus pass. Lane Transit District (LTD) uses Umo to validate fare and riders will need to show a valid pass in the Umo App or use a Touchpass tap card.  Instructions on obtaining a benefit code are below. More information about this pass is available at LTD's website.

Step 1: Obtain a Benefit Code

Log in to your account on the Transportation Services Parking Portal using the button below and retrieve your code from the account contacts page.

Step 2: Redeem Benefit Code

You must pick one of the two options below to redeem your benefit code. You cannot use both the app and a Tap Card at the same time. More information on both of these options is available on the LTD website.

Option A: Download Umo App

Using the Umo Mobility App is the easiest way to redeem your benefit code and ride the bus. The app supports ride planning, routes, and schedules.

Redeeming Code in App

  1. In the app, open the menu in the upper right hand side.
  2. Select 'Redeem Benefit' from the menu.

Option B: Use a Tap Card

For those unable to to use the Umo app, a benefit code can be redeemed on a Umo/TouchPass card.

Transportation Services has a limited number of cards that can be obtained at our office for no cost to campus community members. Starting September 27, TouchPass cards will also be available at the EMU Card Office.

Once you have obtained your card, You will need to create an account on UmoPass.com and redeem the code with the card number located on the back side of the card.

Bus

The Bus!

LTD operates more than two dozen bus routes in Lane County, all of which are included in the UO pass. For a list of the routes and maps, visit LTD's virtual rider guide.

EmX Eugene

The Emerald Express (EmX) is LTD's bus rapid transit system. Spacious, comfortable buses coming every ten to fifteen minutes during the week make it easier than ever to take the bus. Running on Franklin Blvd by the university, the EmX is a useful route to get between campus destinations, as well as off campus offices like PeaceHealth North, the Baker Center and 10th & Mill.

Park and Ride

Lane Transit District maintains 24 Park & Ride locations around Lane County. A Park and Ride allows you to leave your vehicle in a safe, clean lot and ride the bus the rest of the way to work. LTD Park and Rides are free on a first come, first served basis.
